Mak (William Nelson) advised his users to file DMCA takedown notices with Cloudflare against a URL, reasoning that the site would be taken down because the original Lua protector “didn’t endorse the crack” (https://archive.is/1zp64). DMCA notices are supposed to be filed by the copyright holder, not by unrelated third parties.
In another message, mak said he bought a service from RDP.sh and entered that company’s own public VAT number as his tax ID to save about $2, joking about their “good protections” (https://archive.is/1aHrZ). Using another company’s VAT number as your own is improper and can amount to tax fraud.
One customer also accused VaultCord of stealing their members (https://archive.is/AXLcD).
